Why there is a dearth of updates and why it will continue...

That's right. I finally got one. For the past 2 months I have been a bedroom guitarist. Been wanting to get one since high school and I finally found no reason not get one.

Nothing fancy, it's a Yamaha Pacifica 012. Agathis body with a bolt on maple neck and a sonokeling fretboard. (Wow look at me talking like I know what the hell they mean.)

The point is, I now have one more reason not to leave the house. There goes my fringe of a social life.

No, I do not turn my amp up. I play through headphones because I basically still don't got much skills.

Don't expect much blogging though. Enjoy 2009!

A short update

I read somewhere that a lack of blog updates meant somebody's busy in real life. I wish I could say that but unfortunately that's not the case.

I started blogging because I had a lot of downtime at work. I wanted something to keep me busy as the clock ticks off the hours until it's time to go.

With my new responsibilities there's just no time anymore to just type away whenever I think up something to post. I tried a few times to type at home but my home pc has a lot of disctractions that blogging is the farthest thing from my mind.

Of course I still have a lot to say and put down in electronic records. I just have to find the time.

Iloilo River

I walk home after work if it's not raining. It only takes 30 minutes, and it's a good way for transitioning from "work time" to "me time". I like leaving work worries at work and vice versa. I also like the fact that I think up a lot of stuff as I walk.

Anyway, as I was crossing the bridge, I paused and took a snapshot of the Iloilo River at 6 in the morning. It's not the cleanest river, it's nothing special really. But it was the first time I saw it when there was no current. It's just a nice contrast since the river meanders right through the hustle and bustle of the city.

I'm writing this post at four-thirty in the morning. I finished work stuff early. It's funny how productive one can get when most of your personal YM contacts are offline and the forums and blogs you frequent aren't updating.

Bored again. Meh!

Newsworthy

Failure of your bookmarks to load is definitely right up there with wars and political scandals newswise. It's definitely a slow Friday on my end if I notice these things.

Thank God for weekends.

And I'm starting on the night shift next week.

She’s giving us all she’s got cap’n!

She cannae take no more!

Looks like I need a new hard drive. I'm too lazy to burn 40 gigs worth of stuff to DVDs. All that in just as span of a few months. Damn the torrents. Damn the torrents to hell.

Hey, two geek references. FTW!
